Come to Ukiah Adult School to study before taking your General Education Development (GED). Instructors are available to help you study for each of the four tests in the new computerized version of the GED®. Classes are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the morning from 8:30am to 11:30am; in the afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm in Room 1; and on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in Room 8. Choose the time that's best for you and pass that test!

The GED® test on computer is here!

As of January, 2014, the GED® test must be taken on computer!

Register from the comfort of home, any day, at any time. Ukiah Adult School now offers the GED® test on computer, a brand new way to take the test and earn your GED® credential. The GED® test on computer offers test-takers a better testing experience, featuring:
  • The Instant Score Report - In an era of instant everything, testing should be no different. Leave the testing center knowing the score you earned on the GED® test.
  • Easier User Experience - The 24/7 online registration and scheduling makes scheduling your test a breeze.
  • Your Test, Your Time - Each test-taker gets to test at his/her own pace. If a test-taker finishes before the allotted time has expired, there's no more waiting for the entire room to finish.

Before registering for the actual GED® test, take GED® Ready Official Practice Tests (OPT) ($6) for each subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies).
This will give you three things:
  • An actual assessment of your knowledge in the subject you chose.
  • A score which is inline with the actual GED® test so you will know your possible score on the actual GED® test.
  • Study guidelines as to what to do to improve your test scores.
If you attend Ukiah Adult School's GED® prep. classes, you can take the GED® Ready Official Practice Test (OPT) for FREE and we can guide you towards a higher score in any of the four subjects tested.

The OPT will save you money and frustration.

Why spend $35 and find out what you needed to know to pass your test when you could have spent $6 (or FREE when you come to our classes) to find out the same information?

You can take all four tests on the same day, take just one a day or any combination on the same day.  It's up to you!

Register today online to take your GED® test at Ukiah Adult School. The testing center is open every Tuesday *(except during school breaks)* 8:30am until 5:00pm for your testing convenience.

Corona Virus and GED testing
Information provided by GED Testing as of 03/11/2020

We understand that test centers, educators and GED students may be concerned about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and how it may impact GED testing. We are monitoring the situation carefully and are following guidance provided by governing bodies, Pearson and Pearson VUE. At this time, GED test centers across most of the country are operating normally and are using standard precautions.

Test centers that deliver the GED are controlled locally and are advised to make any closure decisions based upon information provided by local and state authorities and government agencies. Test centers that decide to close for any period of time should notify Pearson VUE immediately, so that they can cancel tests appointments and notify students of their test cancellations as quickly as possible. Test centers should call 1-866-389-3665, option #2 to report a closure.

Students who are impacted due to test center closures will receive notification that their test has been cancelled and their testing fees will be refunded. Students can reschedule their test on GED.com for when the testing site has reopened, or at another open test center.

To maintain a safe testing environment at GED test centers, we are asking test administrators and test-takers to follow the guidance below:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds prior to arriving at the test center, and after testing
  • Cover your cough and sneeze with your arm or elbow, not your hands
  • Utilize hand sanitizer when available
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Stay at home from work or reschedule your test if you are feeling unwell or have symptoms such as a fever or respiratory difficulties

We are committed to the safety or GED test-takers and test center workers. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional information as needed.
